Enrique Broglia

Enrique Broglia was born on September 16, 1942, in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1965, he moved temporarily to Uruguay. He is one of the best-known and recognised artists in the country. Both his work and activity have made it beyond the borders of Uruguay, and became an artist with a worldwide impact. His work, as can be seen in detail below, is part of the main museums, institutions and private collections in the world. He has staged exhibitions in the most outstanding Galleries, Museums and Cultural Centres in many different countries, both individually and in collaboration with other leading artists of different nationalities. He participated in different Shows, essentially in Europe, where he arrived in 1968 on a scholarship from the French Government in view of his qualities and potential. His activity is not limited to sculptures, drawings and collages, as he also planned and implemented several squares and promenades where he authored murals, haut reliefs and monumental sculptures. He has received endless awards and prizes, including the ”Figari Award” by the Central Bank of Uruguay for his Artistic Career. |
