Hermenegildo Sábat

Hermenegildo Sábat; Montevideo, Uruguay, 1933.

Plastic artist, drawer, caricaturist, essay writer and photographer.

He has been living in Argentina since 1966, where he publishes his drawings in the «Clarín» daily.

He is the author of books on special subjects on music, literature and art.

He has held numerous painting exhibitions in several countries; his drawings have been published in journalistic media in Europe and America.

He has been teaching since 1982, and created the multidisciplinary Arts Workshop in Montevideo, which became a Foundation in 1989.

A winner of awards and distinctions throughout his career, he joined the National Academy of Journalists of Argentina in 2008.
